Selfie Jatra Contest

Only subscribers (residential households) of selected operators in the State of Maharashtra would be eligible to participate in the Contest.

• The entry in the Contest will be in the form of a selfie
• The participant has to tune in to the Sony Marathi channel and click a selfie with their favorite Sony Marathi artist or show, while the show is running in the background on TV set and forward the same (as stated below)
• The entry should be related only to selfie with Sony Marathi artist/show and no other show/artist of other SPNI channels

• To participate in the Contest, the participants must click a selfie and give a missed call on 86526 86526
• Auto generated SMS carrying Contest microsite link will be sent to the participant
• The participants to visit the microsite link, fill up their basic details, like Sony Marathi facebook page, upload the selfie and submit the form available on the Contest microsite
• Upon successful Contest registration, the participant will receive an acknowledgment SMS from SPNSMS confirming their participation in the Contest. In respect of subscribers who do not receive such acknowledgement, their entry would deemed to have been rejected and they will not be entitled to participate in the Contest.

• The Contest will be open to the subscribers of only selected operators. The operators will roll out the Contest in their territory for their subscribers post the e-meet with SPNI. The tentative Contest start date will be 10th August, 2020 or such other date that SPNI may decide.
• The Contest will run for 5 (five) days in the area of each selected television distribution platform operators (“DPOs”) for their respective subscriber base and the start date of the Contest would be informed to the subscribers by the respective DPOs.

1. The Contest shall run strictly in accordance with the stipulated timelines as set by SPNI and as communicated to the DPOs.
2. Contest duration daily will be only from 00: 00:00 AM to 23: 59:59 PM
3. Entry to be submitted through the link before mid-night (i.e. 12 O’ clock) of each Contest day. Any entry reaching us after the closure of the Contest’s stipulated dates and timings shall not be entertained and summarily rejected. The entries should be submitted only through the mode mentioned above. No other mode shall be accepted
4. Entries which are Incomplete or the data/file submitted if found to be corrupt will not be accepted
5. Mobile number and email id used for Contest registration must be unique. Only one entry is permitted per person.
6. The entries received will be segregated and evaluated and from amongst all eligible correct entries on the basis of the selfie, winners will be selected randomly through lucky draw.
7. SPNI and/or its agency will not be responsible for any NDNC (National Do Not Call) Registry regulation that will come into play. All participants who participate agree as per the terms and conditions that even if they are registered under NDNC, DND (Do Not Disturb), SPNI and/or its agency will have all the authority to call / send messages to such shortlisted winners by virtue of them having voluntarily participated in the Contest. The participants also agree to receive promotional call/SMS from SPNI and/or its agency.
8. The winner selection process will be done distributor wise and one participant would be declared winner each day for each distributor. Daily winners would be declared on the next day, for eg winners of day 1 will be declared on day 2. One bumper winner per distributor will also be declared at the end of the Contest. Non-winning entries will not be carried forward to the following days lucky draw and/or bumper draw.
9. In the event, the shortlisted winner's number is busy, unreachable, or he/she does not attend the call, two (2) more attempts will be made to reach the participant on that day and/or the next day. If even on the third attempt, the participant does not attend the call or is unreachable, the participant's participation in the Contest shall automatically end and his/her entry shall stand cancelled and such participant would not be eligible to receive any prize.
10. If any shortlisted winner remains unreachable on the third attempt or is not interested in continuing in the Contest or is otherwise ineligible to participate, the agency shall conduct up to three (3) more random selections to shortlist a winner. If even after a third random selection, no winner is selected, no prize shall be declared in respect of that particular Contest day.
11. The winner will be notified via email and/or SMS.
12. The distributor at its discretion, may also announce the winners on its local channel.
13. The result of the Contest may be published on SPNI website/social media platforms after the Contest is over
14. Prize:
    • - Daily Prizes: - Each winner will be awarded with gift voucher of Rs. 100/-
      One gift voucher would be distributed per day for each of the distributor during the period of the Contest.
    • One gift voucher would be distributed per day for each of the distributor during the period of the Contest.
    • Bumper Prize: The bumper prize will be a chance to “e-meet” the star(s)/artist(s)of Sony Marathi show in addition to entitlement of the gift voucher of Rs 200. There will be only one such Bumper Prize draw for each distributor. SPNI will have the sole right to decide the star(s)/artist(s) who will feature for e-meet in which the winner will be meeting the star/artist. For unavoidable circumstances, if the e-meet cannot be conducted, the Bumper prize winners will awarded with SPNI gift hamper in addition to gift voucher of Rs. 200/-. The said SPNI gift hamper will be delivered to the bumper prize winner(s) at the earliest possible date on the address provided by the participant in the Contest participation form. However, due to COVID 19 scenario and limitation on operations, delivery of hampers might be delayed.
    • The gift voucher cannot be exchanged or redeemed for cash.
    • This e-meet will be conducted via digital platform and hence the Bumper Prize winner would ensure that there is proper internet connection at his/her place to enable him/her to log in. The login details will be provided by the Company.
    • Videography/photography/recording of the e-meet in any form is strictly prohibited and any such equipment, if found to be used for the said purpose is liable to be confiscated.
    • The participant should not be under the influence of alcohol during the e-meet and the Company reserves the right to disallow the Bumper Prize winner from participating in e-meet if such person is found to be under the influence of alcohol.
    • Any questions that the winner would want to put across to the star cast would be filtered through SPNI’s officials handling the said e-meet and the same should be relevant and not out of the context. The star cast may at their discretion refuse to entertain any questions/queries raised by the winner during the e-meet.
    • Any sort of indecent behaviour or usage of defamatory or vulgar words or abuses during the e-meet while interacting with the star cast would attract severe legal actions along with the person being instantly disallowed to participate further in the e-meet.
    • The attire for the said e-meet would be “Formals” or “Smart Casuals”
15. The voucher will be sent to the winners via email/Whatsapp or both along with the voucher terms & conditions. The gift voucher has to be redeemed before the validity date. SPNI shall not be responsible or liable if the gift voucher becomes invalidated because of non-usage of the same by the winner and no claim in this regard would be entertained.
16. SPNI reserves the right to disqualify any entry if they determine that the entries submitted do not meet the requirements or terms of the Contest. Mere participation in the Contest does not entitle any participant to win a prize. Successfully entering the Contest and winning a prize is subject to all requirements set forth herein.
17. SPNI shall be at a liberty to modify the prize at its sole discretion. SPNI doesn’t take responsibility for the worth, suitability and quality of any prize offered in the Contest
18. SPNI reserves the right to cancel/modify/alter/postpone/terminate the Contest or change all or any part of the rules, policy of the Contest, at its sole discretion.
19. SPNI and/or its agency shall not be responsible for (including but not limited to):
    • any SMS message delivery /call failures
    • any technical / network failures during the e-meet
20. The decision of SPNI will at all times be final. No further correspondence pertaining to the selection process and decision will be entertained. SPNI shall not be under any obligation respond to any feedback, suggestion and/or, queries of the participants or furnish any reason or explanation for inclusion and/or exclusion of any particular submission of the entry of a participant at any stage of the Contest.
21. All right, title and interest, including but not limited to the Intellectual Property Rights, in the promotional material(s) of the Contest and in all responses received shall vest solely and exclusively with SPNI at all times. Trademark, copyright rights used in the Contest are the property of their respective owners.
22. SPNI shall keep all the personal information including sensitive personal information (“Information”) collected or received from the participant as confidential and shall share the same with any party on need basis and for the purpose of the Contest. The participants hereby also consents to the collection, storage, use, disclosure, transfer of Information which may be collected by SPNI for the purpose of this Contest and agree and acknowledge that the same is for a lawful purpose and is necessary for facilitating his/her participation in the Contest. The participant by providing the Information hereby agree that SPNI shall have the right to share the Information so collected or received with such other third party as required for the purpose of the Contest and/or with governmental agencies and regulators (e.g., tax authorities), social organizations (e.g., the social security administration), human resources benefits providers (e.g., health insurers), external advisors (e.g., lawyers, accountants, and auditors), courts and other tribunals/parties, to the extent required or permitted by applicable law and that they shall not file any claim against SPNI for sharing the Information and/or in connection with the Contest. Please refer SPNI’s privacy policy on our website www.sonypicturesnetworks.com that governs the use of your Information. The participants entering into this Contest agree and acknowledge that the Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy and Terms of Use as put up on SPNI’s website shall be in addition to the conditions set out in this document which shall govern the Contest.
23. In exercise of the powers conferred by applicable laws, SPNI shall treat the Information and pictures as sensitive and confidential and such Information shall be dealt with as per the provisions specified in the applicable laws including security control measures.
24. For the purpose of the Contest, SPNI may contact the service providers to perform functions or services on its behalf. Such service provider may have access to the participant(s) Information for performing their functions but shall be restricted from using such Information for purpose other than providing services to SPNI solely in connection with the Contest. SPNI shall ensure, on reasonable efforts basis, that its service providers that have access to Information of the participant(s) for providing the services or performing their function for SPNI, are subject to the same level of privacy protection as is required by the applicable laws.
25. Here the term “Information” including sensitive personal information, if any, shall mean and include the full name and contact information of the participant (viz. pincode/city/state, mobile number(s), email address, photo) and such other details as may be required.
26. The photos/images uploaded by the participants, shall be retained by SPNI till the time all the Contest winners are declared and the promotions with respect to the winners is completed.
27. The Information provided by the participants in the course of the Contest will be used only for SPNI’s internal purpose and to send participants promotional information in the future pertaining to its channels/shows/website/schemes etc. The participant hereby consents to receiving such promotional information in the future. In the event the participant wishes not to receive such future communications, the participant can opt-out of the same by writing to SPNI on the same email ID from which he/she receives such promotional information or in case of SMS, barring the number from which he/she receives such promotional information.
28. In addition to these terms and conditions, the participant shall at all times be subject to the terms and conditions of Facebook, to the extend as it may be applicable. By participating in this Contest, the participant hereby specifically consents for SPNI to use/edit the picture/image uploaded/shared by him/her on the microsite, repost the same along with caption (if any) by SPNI on its social media handle(s) and use for Contest advertising/marketing purpose. Any issue (technical or otherwise) with respect to the participant’s facebook account, page, post, activity and/or operation, shall be taken up by the participant directly with Facebook, without involving SPNI in any aspect.
29. SPNI shall not be responsible for any errors or omissions in the terms and conditions contained herein. All information provided in the Contest is provided "As is" without warranty of any kind. SPNI makes no representations, disclaims all express, implied and statutory warranties of any kind to the participant and/or any third party including, without limitation, warranties as to accuracy, timelines, completeness, merchantability or fitness for any particular purpose.
30. The participants will not hold SPNI or any of its Directors /officers liable for any loss/claims/damages he/she suffers by participating in this Contest
31. By participating in the Contest, it shall not be deemed to constitute a partnership or agency between any participant and SPNI and the participant shall not have the authority to bind SPNI in any manner whatsoever
32. Any disputes or differences arising in connection with the Contest shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Mumbai only.
